The paragraph right below the graph:

"Upon seeing this, the first question most people ask is how I make so much bottom end torque. Turns out torque converters do this really nifty thing called torque multiplication, which means your crankshaft torque is actually amplified in the low RPM range. It doesn't happen all the way to redline, of course, but it's a ton of fun while it lasts!"

Most car's with Auto's won't let you make a WOT pull from low RPM, they down shift typicaly. He didn't, or he diabled that.

* Turbo Action reverse pattern manual valve body

That last item is a crucial one. It allows me to begin near idle in third gear but when I floor it the trans stays in third without downshifting. Factor in 20 psi of boost--my daily driver setting--and this produces some interesting results

That explains how he disabled it, though I have no idea what that is or how it works, haha.

Just did a little reading, basically looks like that device allows you to have complete control of shifting. Sort of like tcugo on DSMs I assume?

It's the manual valve body, you have to manually shift it, it won't do it by itself like normal. That's a weird phenomenon, I haven't heard of anybody doing that for a dyno graph before.

I think he has it for racing reasons. Looks like it would be best to shift WELL before redline with that motor.

I had TCUgo for a while on my auto, it rocked when you wanted to stay in gear and not have it automatically upshift or downshift. Only problem was that it seemed a little abusive on the downshifts as it didn't "blip" /rev match like most manu-matics do.
