For the last four days I''ve seen multiple bald eagles and brown eagles on my drive to work. They are all hanging out at a lake in Dayton. I counted six bald eagles and two gold eagles yesterday on my way home from work.

I had my camera on me today.

Nice pics.

I was in hopkins/slp at Taco hell on hwy 7 by knollwood and I saw one mash a duck on the creek. Pretty awesome sight in the middle of the city. On the river by my house here in bc there is a huge nest on the island north of 694. I get to see the baby ones every year when im out in the boat fishin.

The Golden Eagles are probably just immature Bald Eagles. It takes 3 years for them to get the white on the head. There have been some reports of the Golden's moving further east, but 99% of the time they are really immature Bald Eagles. Just an FYI.

The easiest way to tell is in flight.

Cool spottings for sure. They will start breeding here soon. I have a nest right behind my house which is always pretty neat to see.

There is no white on the underbelly of a golden.

Underbelly of a immature Bald Eagle will look something like that, with varying degrees of white.

I don't know if it was a golden eagle or not but they were brown and decent size. Out of the six Bald eagles I saw that day they were the only two brown eagles and they were hangin out by themselves about 200yds away from the other group.

It was a cool sight to see though. 1st time I've been close enough to shoot *a camera* and 1st time I've seen more than one together.

I just wish I had a real camera with me instead of my 3.2mp crap.

I was in hopkins/slp at Taco hell on hwy 7 by knollwood and I saw one mash a duck on the creek.

One year duck hunting we lost a duck to one. He was sitting in a tree across the bog all day and one of the ducks that dropped a ways out got snatched befor the dog could get him.

Nice pics Spaz! There's a lake not far from my parent's cabin in NW wisconsin that has 2 eagle families living on it. I was up there last spring and I got to see one snag a decent sized northern out of the water about 50 yards away from us. It was awesome!

Spaz, you are a great photographer!

I saw a bald eagle in Maple Grove last weekend. They've really made a great comeback!
