So this is on craigslist too but I thought it wouldn't hurt posting it here too.

For sale is a 1978 Chevrolet El Camino. I have owned this car for the past eight years and love it but I need the money for my new project.

So what it has in it:
Engine is a 350 four bolt main out of a 72 Camaro, it has a big cam in it so it sounds really nice with the strait dual exhaust, also a Edelbrock intake and 650cfm carb, KNN air filter. It also has a gel cell battery and a brand new water pump.

The transmission is a B & M TH-350 in which a broke a roller clutch in six months after I got it so I rebuilt it with the best of everything that you can put in that trans. I also put a full manual valve body in, this means you have to shift it even though its a auto, just no clutch pedal. It has a B & M ratchet shifter which makes it really fun to drive.

It has a cowl induction hood and brand new front fenders. It was painted two years ago but not very well as there is a little surface rust on the rocker panels and the lower rear quarters, and the paint is flaking off the hood and front fenders.

The rims are off an 1980 corvette with brand new tires. All of the brakes were done around 10,000 miles ago. The whole underside of the car was coated with Eastwood's Chassis Black so there is little to no rust underneath.

So with a little body work and some paint it will be a really nice car or drive it as is. Any other questions or to look at the car call or PM me (Nick) at 651-283-9444 thanks

They are Sanderson cast iron headers which were ceramic coated but they must have not been very clean as they are starting to show a little rust.

They make the exhaust sound deeper and you don't get that tin can sound as you do with tubular headers and they flow quite well.

Hmm that's cool!! I've never been a fan of the tin can sound. Good luck with the sale.

Free bump.
