So I made a stop at metro the other day because I wanted to see if they could do some warranties for me. (05 Evo VIII) I had my car in my shop not too long ago doing an oil change and I noticed one of my tie rods was loose.. I even had it double checked by one of my mechanics. Well when I went to drop my car off to have my wing (Major Clear coat peeling) and tie rod looked at they lifted it up and said their was nothing wrong. I even felt it myself on their lift and thought I must have made a mistake when I first looked at it. Well long story short I left their with a new wing. Yesterday I mounted my new summer tires and noticed once again its loose. I know for a fact its loose. Whats the deal here? ive never seen a tie rod be something that comes and goes? If its loose its loose? Could metro be trying to just not replace it? What do you guys think i should do?

The tie rod can get jammed and put tension on itself so it won't feel loose at times. The only way to really check is get a pry bar in there and pry up and down.
