Anyone know this person? The majority of us drive quite fast at times, but please at least use some common sense and take what simple precautions you can.

Ghey, they took the thread down. I had it open, so I'll copy/paste:


This past weekend in Wisconsin a Blue 2006 Evo was doing 128mph after braking (police scene re-inactment) the car caught air coming over a hill early saturday morning. The driver lost control went into the ditch, hit a culvert launched, hit a tree and split the front half. The Evo was sent spinning and flew 600ft from the road. The driver was ejected 100ft and was killed. The driver had full race harness but was not wearing them. The driver hit a 12inch wooden post from a fence and was killed on impact. The car was destroyed!! The motor, tranny, front axle, and exhaust were all ripped from the car during the crash. The trans case was cracked and the tranny gears were also cracked in half. The Cam gears were snapped in half also. We found the drivers ipod in the rear driverside rim. Please Drive SAFE!! Wear your SEATBELTS!!

The cops on the scene said if he was wearing his seatbelt he would have lost his legs, but survived.

Wow, I always wear my seatbelt in the Evo thanks to the annoying dinger. That thing got me into wearing it everytime.

that is fucking nuts. I dont go any were with out wearing the harness or the stock belt. The only time I dont wear it is in the tow truck at work on the ramp at the airport

That's nuts. I always where my seatbelt in my dsm, not so much my stratus driving around to work or the store.

I guess owning an evo doesn't make you invincible.

Why don't you wear your seatbelt ALL the time? Its such an easy way to protect yourself!

No car makes you invincible, if anything, the Evo makes it worse b/c it has so much power yet its crash ratings are so horrendous.
