ok i have a job right now doing CNC machining of medical stuff, its really small parts and really repetitive. I have to get up at 4:15am and i work 10hrs a day. We are down to 40hrs a week at which i don't make enough to cover all my bills. If I can work 2 48hr weeks then i can make enough to pay bills.

Luckily my benefits started 1st of march and i got new glasses (they didn't pay for) and i had all my wisdom teeth pulled (still recovering).

I got offered a new job checking out foreclosed houses $4/house and averages 3-5 houses an hour. ($12-20/hr)

Here is the thing, my wisdom teeth pull hasn't gone thru yet, I can't go back to work at the shop because I am still on pain meds.
I want to quit and start the house deal cause it would be enough money for me to live and i only need a job till i leave for xray tech school in may or june. Hopefully may I should find out next week.

For now they are putting me on medical leave at my job because I have been gone all this week.

Thanks for any advice, i feel completely lost since i had no clue my surgery would be this bad, i figured i would be back to work already and maybe putting in my 2 weeks next week.

Sucks about the on the long recovery, get well soon. As for the job situation, I'd make sure that your tooth pulling is covered first, then ditch. Or maybe find a second job? Work on some peoples cars if you have the space. (Non DSM's even  ) That's what I'm doing to make up for my un-paid week off.

Can you do the house thing on the side during evenings/weekends?

Damn dude im surprised the teeth pull hit you so hard.

When i had mine pulled i was out for a good 2 days from the anesthesia, but when i woke up i felt pretty good. Never even used the vicodin prescription they gave me.

I am pretty much waiting for them to cover the operation, then i got the house job lined up, but yes i can do it on the weekends, which i am planning to do until i can quit.

the only thing i can think making it more painful is the fact they had to grind my jaw to get one out.

That made me cringe. Hope you feel better soon, and good luck with the job situation, the house thing seems pretty cool.

How dependable is this house thing? I think that would be the first area I'd think about.

I agree, the house thing doesn't sound real legit. Do they pay for gas or do you have to cover that? What are you checking out on houses where you could possibly hit 5 per hour? That is 12 min each with NO drive time, that doesn't sound possible at all. I would keep the machine shop job and just do this on the weekends or eveings, just my 2 cents.
