Not Running...

well, heres the story my car is now not running. I got a new ecu cause well i needed a new one in the first place. two days ago I had to start leaving my negative terminal unpluged for a 1/2 hour and then connect and start it would start. now It wont start at all I'm lost on what to do. any ideas? its got spark and the fuel pump turns on. Im thinking about trying a new fuel filter, and well idk what else except maybe new injectors or something? well any help would be great thanks!

good luck on the fuel filter.. it is a PITA to install with trany in there..

I've done a fuel filter before thats not hard at all... and yes cher it still wont start... I'm going to go after it with a test light today and see whats up... the fuel pump turns on theres spark but no start.... i have to check the return fuel line also see if theres anything pumping through it?

Is it possible that this ecu is dead too? No CE light or anything?

Did you check for injector pulse?

If the pump turns on, it might be pressure related.
Check for fuel leaks (non sealed tank) etc...
check for ipw (like erik mentioned)
does the motor crank?

What is you gas guage at?

ok well I figured out it is the computer. Heres the deal. I have to disconnect the negative terminal..for a 1/2 hour at least. then obviously plug it in and start it as fast as i can. I will start and run fine. i can turn the car off and leave the key in the on position so the computer doesnt turn off, and the car will start again no matter the time between, but if I turn the key only to acc. and the comp. shuts down and i try to start it once it turns off... she wont fire up...so I need to try a different comp...and that one i bough doesnt work cher...
