No need for heat, it will be easy to get the bent part back to flat, the trick is getting the curve back in. It takes a big ass whack to do it. It is like a ball joint, you can smack it around all day and it won't move, but a few big smacks and it will move around.

But it is aluminum and I don't want it to crack. I think some heat will help a little bit with that wont it?

Heat it up and it will help to keep it from cracking. Even if it does, it can still be fixed. I had a similar bend to that in a more expensive rim along with a crack. I bent the lip back, brought it over to MAP and little Brown welded it up nice and neat for me. I had a friend come and match the paint and now you can barely tell. A replacement rim for mine was $550. Total to fix this with mount/dismount tire, welding and paint was $120, and about three hours of my hammer time.

Thanks Mark I'll see if I have the time to make the drive and maybe they can do something with it. If not then I'll just be heating it up and use a hammer and rubber sheet.

I have bent a couple of wheels back and never had an issue with cracking without heat. Usually the crack will happen on the initial hit.

True but it's not gonna hurt anything so I might as well heat it up.. I'll post pics after and see how it goes.

Ok, thanks. You just said expert and I'm unsure of whether it should be welded or tossed. Just want a good opinion.

About a half hour with a torch and a sludge hammer with some sheets of rubber I'm pretty sure I got it fixed. It won't be as straight as it was obviously but I got it as straight as I could.
