Bridgestone has discontinued the RE01-R tire and replaced it with the RE11. The RE01-R was their extreme performance summer tire, as good as, or possibly better than the Dunlop Direzza Z1's, but a bit more expensive. Anybody looking for a good set of summer only tires, TireRack has some great deals.

I just checked my size, original price was $182 each, they are now $95 each!

Just an FYI, these tires will not last that long on the road. They should be in the same range as what the EVO's came with stock (for both performance and longevity)

Now, I'm torn between these since the price is so damn good and some Azenis RT 615's. Which do you think would be the best option?

Depends, the 615's should last longer, but these will be better in the wet and provide more grip.

If it were me, I'd get these, but I don't drive the car they go on everyday, so the fact that they don't last that long isn't much of a bother.

I got to the checkout for the 225/50/r16's and said that they were no longer available. :(

I'd jump all over this if my tires didn't still have life left in them!

I know what my car's rolling on this season! I could afford a full set right now...

Damn...I'm still trying to decide on keeping the 19's on my M3 (with Nitto 555's) or buying some new summer tires for my style 5's. This is incredibly tempting.

Any real world ideas on wear life?

That's two years with as little as I drive. :) Going to have to think about this one.
