Cleaning Piston Tops

I took off my head and the tops of my pistons have burnt oil on them because my valve seals went out. I was wondering if there is a way to get them clean.

Wire brush and a little brake cleaner afterwards works well. Just make sure you don't get the dirt down the oil or coolant passages or alongside the piston. Rotate two pistons to TDC for cleaning, then do the same for the other two.
