Now that ECUFlash works for these things, people have begun to tune them. If you drive a mildly modded 1G for fun, and a more modern daily driver, you might wanna look at one of these. A basic, pump gas, 16g dsm with cams, fmic, injectors, tuning device of some sort, and all the other little goodies will put down around 250whp on DB's dyno dynamics dyno.
First up, AMS. This dyno (IMHO) reads lower than MAP's dyno for some reason, but still is a dynojet:
Stock: 201whp/221wtq
Tuned: 236whp/231wtq

Then, they added a cat-back. Peak gains are not huge, but the under-the-curve improvement is decent. Still with the stock cat in place:

Now, onto some numbers that can closely be replicated locally. GST's mustang dyno reads very close to numbers produced at DB, perhaps slightly higher. This is with the car 100% stock:

Notes:
+52whp / +30wtq overall
+38whp / +26wtq peak gains.
Boost hit 17psi peak and dropped to 9psi stock. After remapping the boost tables it hit 18psi peak and dropped to 12psi.

Next step will be either a gm bcs or more likely for GST to throw in one of their smaller diameter bcs pills(rosey has one of these), retaining 100% OEM look from the outside. This should allow boost to be held better up top, perhaps down low too. I'm guessing torque numbers will remain similar or bumped ever-so-slightly and peak whp numbers will be up another 10whp or so.
Stock, these things come with the old 2G plastic BOV (same as non-MR evo8's) and a teensy arse FMIC. Gains to be had in lots of places, stay tuned ;)
