I've seen that one as well elsewhere. But one true story, I had a 1998 GSX come in when I was fixing them in my garage around 2000 or so. They wanted me to change the oil and fix a few things. I drained the oil and about 12 quarts came out. I asked the owner's boyfriend why there was so much oil in there and he said they thought they had to add a quart every week, so he did and didn't bother to drain any. Oops. The car only had like 40k miles too, luckily it didn't do any damage.
Another delivery driver at the liquor store I worked at during college filled a car full of oil; the entire pan, crankcase, and valve cover was filled to the fill hope!

Surprisingly enough it ran just fine after the oil was drained out and lived for another year until the tranny went out! It was an early 90's Ford Tempo 4-cylinder.

You'll just forget to put the drain bolt back in.

Meh, even if you know it, you're bound to forget at some point. I'm pretty sure those of us who've done our own oil for years have all done it once.
Speak for yourself. Ive never done that.... How do you even manage that?
