Factory Mitsubishi cranks do not need to be shot-peened

As for DSM gears....the weak points of the transmissions are the shift forks(replace aluminum with the steel ones), and the GVR4 first gear.

As far as I know, modifying the gears on a DSM is not necessary.

Super Bleeder!!

The REM/ISF process falls under the micro-polish category.

Very cool stuff, do some reading on it.

DSM gears break all the time. It doesn't take too much to break 3rd/4th on the 94+ trannies. With some torque, the stronger early 4th gear will shear right off.

You would know, right? ;)

Unfortunately.

The older stuff is pretty strong, but I have had customers running low 12s who have broken the weaker 94+ 3rd/4th gear stuff.
