I have been in the process of doing a custom turbo kit on my 2002 Polaris Edge X 600 snowmobile. I have been doing alot of research and talking to guys out west and in Canada as well. This is a twin 2 stroke 120 hp motor to start with.

I am doing a 14b turbo with an external wastegate off of the o2 housing all custom built. I ordered a 3.75 psi spring to start with and will bump it up from there.

I have made the header pipe, modifyed an ebay o2 housing and removed the stock 14b wastegate, and made a custom downpipe that exits the stock exhaust location.

This motor is forged with wiseco pistons. The fuel setup will all be stock when its under vacuum and when boost hits there will be a secondary electronic fuel system with an automotive pump, AFPR with gauge, and it is activated with a hobbs switch. The turbo is oiled and water cooled as well. There is an electric pump that pumps oil into the turbo and gravity drains into a customized reservoir and will have an oil cooler as well.

There will be no intercooler since the air will be so cool from the outside and the turbo wont get that hot anyways like they do on a 4 stroke. The motor is a carbed motor and is tuned with an EGT gauge and power jets.

Ill keep posted as I complete the project. I am about half done right now. I am hoping for at least 40 additional HP out of the kit on 92 and on race or e85 to brake 200hp with it!

Looks awesome all the way until you posted the pic of the PVC pipe. Please don't tell me that's what you are using for charge-air piping! Looks bad-ass otherwise!

Most likely just a mock up. Alot of custom exhaust shops can exactly duplicate what you bring them in PCV fabrication.

Looking good man!

Looks sweet! I almost bought one of those sleds just after I finished high school, but decided not to.

This is awsome.. I've always thought about doing a project like this someday. Keep up the good work and don't forget to get pretty descriptive for people like me that aren't sure how things are gonna work out! haha

That is a cheap moch up that I am going to try out. Beleive it or not the makers of some turbo kits make a square box and punch 2 holes in the front to connect the carbs and a hole on the top for the inlet and to me it seems that the round figure would fit and flow alot better and more equally. Once all works with the pvc I will be making a metal one.

It's not like it's gonna have to hold up to that much boost anyway.. What about the stock 2g uicp? haha
