That really sucks. At least it only messed your maf up instead of your turbo.

ABout that Perrin one you're getting though, is it just the spongy kind of filter element? Just like the HKS kind of sponge ones that were known to get sucked to bits?
It is a foam element made by UNI which are huge in the off-road and motorcycle circles. I used to run their filters in my motorcycles and run one in my ATV and have never had an issue. They seem to do a good job of stopping the dirt/dust too which is good since the Vibrant and Buschur ones don't.

Bummer!, at least its a simple fix. I think your old filter knew it was going to be replaced!

scheides that does really suck. But let me tell you a little bit about bad luck. I sold my dsm for a reliable subaru rs and it flippin died on the way back from the guys house. Think the timing belt went. So right when you think you've got it bad, there's always somebody worse. That's about the only thing keepin me goin right now haha

Glad to hear its okay, it could have got worse if it went through the screen on the maf, it prolly would of made it into the turbo this time :S

LOL so true :D

Buschur has a good gig going on though. He was buying those things for $12 and reselling them for $60, now he buys the Vibrants w/ MAF adapter for ~$35 and resells them for $80.

Just rip out the honey combs and tune it for such. I'm guessing that's all that's wrong with your maf. Honeycombs are for the weak anyways.
