So my wife is looking and i thought i'd gve it a try here, maybe somebody knows who know somebody else in a hospital or nursing home.
My wife got her CNA certificate in november and is now in the CNA registry, she has applied in many places but ALL of them require at least 1 year of experience and we all know that having connections really helps, but we know NOBODY in health care. She is now working but not as a CNA and i really wanter to work as a CNA because i paid $1K for classes and everything else. IF anyone here knows of a CNA entry level position or trainee, or whatever, please let me know. thanks

The school district I work for has had a position open for a nursing para/assistant for a while. They originally wanted an RN, but they offered me the position with only my EMT. It's only part time (why I didn't take it), but would be an ok place to get some resume experience.

My GF is a RN and when she was a CNA she noticed that they all wanted experience as well but tell her to just apply at all of those places anyways. There is a need for them right now and if they cant find someone with experience they will hire and train that is what my gf just told me. Good luck and nursing homes usually will take someone with not as much experience.

Tell her to call and ask if they have gone over her resume and that she is really interested in working for them.

If she's willing to drive, check out Lighthouse at Waconia. It's an assisted living place and they are always looking for good people who wont flake out 2 weeks after starting. My wife is one of the lead aids there.
