Dont know if anyone has seen this before.. it was linked on autoblog... pretty impressive!

Guy is building a Hummer (completely fab the sheet metal and body) on a ford frame with a 7.3 diesel. its been like 3 years i think, wants to finish by this summer....

That is crazy. I hope he likes it a lot because after he finishes spending 100,000 dollars worth in man hours, he will need another $100,000 for the fuel, haha.

I am sure he is monumentally disappointed, having driven those things for real, I can say that a childhood icon of awesomeness is actually a piece of junk.

Yes, his custom build quality is probably far and beyond what the military gets, but comon, there is so little interior room.

I was always pretty impressed with them. They may have rattled and what not, but no matter how bad we beat the crap out of them they hardly ever broke. I remember only one time we had one break, and it was a leak in a fuel line after we drove it over a decent sized jump.
