I watched this and I was just speechless. No matter how you believe the universe was created, this video shows actual pictures and a simulation of the structure.

The maps kind of look like tissue.

I think the universe is like how they put it in men in black... We're actually just in a marble. That's easier to wrap my head around than some old man blabbing for 20 mins

I thought it looked like cell tissue also. That was pretty interesting, a bit on the dry side. There was enough good bits to make it worthwhile.

It was interesting. But I always wonder why scientists try to prove the start of the universe instead of asking if it was just always there, no beginning, no end.

I suggest reading "A brief history of time" by Stephan Hawking. He does a great job explaining exactly that! Among many other things. It is a fascinating read. His "new" book might do a better job. I'm not sure.

I always thought the same thing until I actually decided to do some research on it.

There is LOTS of evidence pointing to the big bang.

There's also a lot of evidence against it.

Generally, anyone who considers themselves to be a Christian, Jew, or Muslim will not believe in general evolution or "Big Bang" theories..

I know, I was just fascinated by the number of other galaxies and solar systems and how galaxies are spread out like that. Makes me feel so insignificant.

Actually, that's not true, at least in the case of Christianity. Christianity believes that the universe is finite, as in it had a beginning. To most (including lots of scientists), there was almost surely a "higher being" writing the rules, although the really close followers of the religion reject it...

Also, the proof in the case against the big bang is pretty weak to be honest.

If the Large Hadron Collider finds the Higgs Boson a lot of the missing puzzle pieces of the big bang will kind of fall in to place. If it doesn't, time to find new theories, lol.
