Here are some pictures that I took before I swapped his transmission.
The items of interest are as follows:
My dirty Shep trans.
The unacceptable intercooling.
The wire for the oil pressure sending unit not fully attached.
The exhaust scraping against the driveshaft.

All in all the car is very interesting....I guess they build cars different in florida...
for instance, the whole car uses SS lines (even the water for the turbo), but the oil drain is pushlock.
The car is very clean, some redline dripping from the trans/transfer case, oil dripping from the turbo return....

Why is the pushlock thing baffling to you? Pushlock lines are a lot more flexible than braided stainless. Maybe they just wanted to help ease installation and/or removal? It's not like there is a huge difference between pushlock and braided SS.

Well, transmission is in and the car made the trip from Brainerd to Rogers fine. Transmission is great, it is a shep stage 3, but I'm still having some engine problems. The car wont boost much without sputtering, so I am hoping that getting a good tune done fixes everything.

Did you try a boost leak test? What plugs are you running and what are they gapped at? Or are you running E85 in it without doing much of a tune at all?
