Go to a hearing officer, asap. Most likely, with your first violation, they will wipe the slate clean.

If you haven't already done this, don't get your hopes too high. Hastings (Dakota county) doesn't have the kind intermediates that St. Paul and Minneapolis do. They may still be willing to cut some sort of deal, but my one experience with a speeding ticket there made it clear that Dakota County is much more willing to say "if you don't like it, we'll just go to court." They wouldn't budge a bit for me and they ALWAYS do every where else.
God, I really sound like a habitual speeder. I only get them on motorcycles now though, because I'm (usually) not running a fuzz buster on those. :)

with mine i just went and plead guilty, since it was my first one they had me pay the normal amount of the ticket and put me on probation for 6 months.
within the six months i got another one, just paid for that without going to court and the first one never got put back onto my record.

Have fun in hastings, last time I was there the judge was rude to me before I went and saw a hearing officer. BUT I did have it off my record for a year.
WTF... your record was clean?! how!!!?
I got the ticket off my record if i drive good for a year. It turned into a $200 fee though.. :(
My record is clean because I've NEVER done anything illegal ;) It's not illegal if you don't get caught!
Yea, I had the same deal when I went in. To get it off my record (with probation) I had to pay more than the original amount.
