vs stock 9b
I heard the trubo is a 'thumper' or something, i dunno.
It is a garrett... notice how it says that in the picture.... or mabey you meant a garrett thumper or something

And I dont' think a 3si has ever even run 9's before... I could be wrong. [/b][/quote]
Quite obvious it has a garret cover. I think he is asking about the specs on it. It is obviously a lot larger than a 50 or 60 trim garret.

I am pretty sure he has the turbo placed where it is as it will not fit in the stock location. Not because he wanted to move it. I would like to see a deeper pic in the engine bay and see how he routed the exhaust piping.

Nice IC piping. Guess they didn't have any bends to work with.

High 11's, full spool at 8700 rpms.

Its obviously a garret turbo, hince its not a thumper (turbonetics makes that) I figured some of you would like the pics. Doesn't hurt to dream.
What the hell is a 3si? 3s stands for 3000gt/stealth i if for Internation, the name of the board most of us hang out at, as well as us3s.com.
We have yet to run faster than a 10, which is pathetic, most individuals don't upgrade anything in the motor, upgrade intercoolers, or drop weight, just slap on turbos and be happy with the 120mph traps..whatever :razz2:
10 is a 10, not easy to come by, 9 is even harder...one day people will begin to realize that its exponential on how fast you go, adding 100hp might get you from 14.1 to 12.9 but it won't get you from 11.1 to 9.9.
Anywho, im off my soapbox. If the car spools, awesome, its been in pieces for years, and we all know how those projects turn out.

If you are all worried about spool, you do not deserve to drive a turbo car. Maybe he revs to 10,000rpm or is shooting nitrous to spool it. I dont think anyone would be stupid enough to put that big of a turbo on a car/engine that cannot handle it.

BTW, my next setup is going to be a Y2k on a stock engine only reving to 7500 rpm. I will upgrade cams though... :3gears:

Well its smaller then a T-100, and a supra with a 3.0 gets boost and makes 1200hp. I would guess a garrett T-88 or T-91. The thumper turbos are used on a lot of drag mustangs and what not, and range in size of the compressor wheel in mm. I think the biggest one I saw was a 108mm inducer diam. or somthing like that (4.32" T-100 is "only" 3.94"). If he gets it running that should hall major ass.
