Thank YOU MIKE!

I finally got a look at the car at the shop I work at (I was on vacation all last week). The front camber is off, there is new bracing bolts. Not too bad. However the front intercooler piping to frame bolts are not attached, some soft bolts are missing. They said they replaced the rear control arm and aligned it. It had 1degree of total toe in!!! The rear frame where it bolts to the bumper supports has been bent and then straightened. There are still bend marks and holes that could rust. The left rear quarter has bondo cracks, and the paint doesn't match exactly.

I was never told this was wrecked!!!

I'm going back tonight. Already talked to them. I'll be giving a full look over to their 2005 model.

Thanks Mike for making me nervous enough to go through it with a fine tooth comb. You saved me a $20k mistake!

Im really glad that I looked at this car now, You should really look at dealing with a new dealership, I have heard nothing but bad shit about walser. Im sure there are alot of other evo's for sale that are in better shape.

I wouldn't count on it. It is wrong if they fixed it and didn't tell you about it, but a lot of times repairs have been made and the owner quickly trades it in to the dealer, so the dealer doesn't necessarily know the history on it. Unless they promised it had no damage in writing, they are not liable on a used car unless the damage shows up on the title.

I asked a lot of questions and was never informed. The General Manager did admit that they knew it had been in a wreck before but never told me. Maintained that why should he disclose that there has been damage but it was fixed to customers. He says "his" mechanics say it was safe to drive. The same mechanics whole replaced a control arm and didn't align the car leaving it with 1 degree of total toe. The frame is bent still and would crush on impact.

He said he would call his corp. office and ask them what they would like to do. He will be calling me tomorrow. Hopefully they understand customer service and will not leave me a unhappy customer with a $20k bill.

I was told right away that the car wasnt even for sale, then the salesmen told me he was going to talk to his manager to see what they could do. He then said he would let it go for 17k. I popped the hood and looked underneath the car and he told me that it was in a front end crash and the car didnt pass inspection. They should give you your money back because they made the mistake and didnt tell you what they told me

Nice, but I should have a deal worked out on a 2006 MR assuming I walk with anything.

I'm hoping they are like me and rather not get into the legal side and we can work something out. I'll know more tomorrow.
