Ok guys, had a scary experience with my car last night not wanting to slow down thank god it was late at night on a lit highway and no one was around.
Anywho this has led me to start research ahead of time on Big brakes, any experiences/research on them? what have you found?
I have no clue, this is my first post/look regarding big brakes, but all i know it the 1g "big brakes" aren't cutting it for me.
I have EVO 8 wheels right now so they need to fit under them.
Thanks

Didn't you get a bunch of suggestions regarding "big brakes" within one of your other threads? In any case, I'd buy StopTech's, but the Bear kit is cheaper.

Stoptech. Without a doubt I would buy them over Brembo. I have Brembo BBK on my mustang and Stoptech's on my Eclipse. The Stoptech kit is MUCH higher quality. You can swing over and check them both out any time.

Get ahold of the adapter brackets people are making to adapt C5/Fbody calipers.

^i heard about those.
From what i have read, the Baer's are still two pot, while maybe higher quality than the mitsu two pot, it still makes me nervous.
Stoptechs are a lot of money, but if i do this i don't want to get some crap buy right the first time.
Scheides car stopped awesome, i wouldn't mind that kind of stopping power.
Floppy anymore info on that?

I personally have always felt the Baers are rather cheap myself. Basically they are the same thing that comes stock on the two piston mustang setups. PBR calipers I do believe are all they really are. I can say when I ditched those on my Mustang and switched to the Brembo's, I really wasn't impressed at first. Bled them a couple more times and then it was like a whole different car.
The one thing I really liked about the Stoptech kit was the fact that they come with the two piece rotors. They are so much lighter. I still have the Evo Brembos for the rear, mostly because I didn't want to shell out another 2k for the rears. I have less than a grand into all of this and honestly don't think I will ever have a problem stopping.

I too would like info on the F-body/C5 caliper brackets.
What type of problem did you have with it not stopping? It sounds like it might have been a problem boiling the fluid or something.

Baer 13" Track Kit; I loved mine and the price is good.

Have you upgraded your pads and put in high quality fluid? I'd go that route before being convinced that you need bigger calipers and rotors.
