I saw one at Brookdale last weekend. It was loaded and around $32k if I remember correctly. Over-priced if you ask me; I don't realistically see many of these selling at that price. The WRX is cheaper and better known and established in this segment. Even the base at around $26k is steep. Basically, you're looking at a $10k premium for AWD + turbo over the Lancer which I doubt most consumers can justify. I'm going to imagine a lot of the sales will go to enthusiasts wanting but unable to afford an Evo X. Its possible it may take some market share from Subaru but I betting it won't be much due to the strength of Subaru brand loyalty (last I knew they rated highest in brand loyalty). Now, if Mitsu priced the RalliArt lower than the equivalent WRX I can see sales greatly increasing.

I was told mid-december at Brookdale a month ago. Mid-January here in Des Moines.

Yea there is a new 2009 wrx sedan with some good options for $25,900 sticker price here in Des Moines, rated at 265 horsepower even, and a manual transmission which I prefer. I generally like mitsu over subaru but I'd buy that wrx over the ralliart any day.

Torsen front diff, active center, "mechanical" (Clutch?) rear diff. Nice to see no open diffs.

Looking a the MS3 this one compares to the GT version better, which is $25,125 MSRP. Still an extra 5K.

Looking at a base WRX it looks like you get a viscous center LSD and that's it... Add in a good center diff, a front LSD and a rear LSD and you have an STI as your only option. $34K. Seems like a fair bit more car than a base WRX.

I'd rather have that turbo rwd Hyundai for $22,000 with the same engine and a 6 spd manual, and brembos!

it will probley drop in price after it has been out for a while just like all the other evo's droped alittle

A little? They're dropping a lot. I was the high bidder on a white EVO X last week with 3300 miles. We'll just say it wasn't anywhere near $35k.

$30k is just nuts for something that looks like a regular Lancer. I'm guessing these won't sell for squat and the price will normalize in a month.

x2 on the prices. could have been very competitive if it was priced like the MS3 and WRX. they should remove the SST tranny...

The MS3 is a sweet deal, sucks it isn't AWD though.
