View Full Version : Car shakes and studders?
Melted plugs normally mean you are running too lean. What is the boost at?

Boost is set at 12psi.
I would get a datalogger on it, or take it to the fall dyno day. You can get on a wideband there and see if you are lean at all.

I don't have a datalogger, but am going to run a compression test. This stinks b/c i'm goin to cali for awhile and won't be back for awhile. I won't be here in town for the dyno day either.
Do you think there could be other reasons to why my engine is behaving so bad? Could it be internal problems?
The engine not only shakes and studders, but at times it is hard to start the car now as well. Takes about 30 seconds to start the car.

What kinda of turbo you running. if your running the 14b or any 16g, check your J pipe. the J pipe seems to always leak boost. Thats what happen to me on my 95 tsi. Sounds like a boost leak

My 95 gsx does this too. when cruising above 2200 rpms it will all of a sudden start misfiring, and there is no hp at all the pedal has to go to the floor just to keep up with traffic. I however have a 6 bolt swap in mine.
