Alright, I currently have the new Tial Q BOV and have the 10 psi spring in it which is good for -16 to -19 vacuum. I am now going with the HKS 272 cams and was wondering if anyone knows what kind of vacuum they read so I know what spring to buy for the BOV. Here's the BOV spring rates:

-8 to -11 in/HG use 6 PSI Spring (Black)
-12 to -15 in/HG use 8 PSI Spring (White)
-16 to -19 in/HG use 10 PSI Spring (Silver)
-20 to -21 in/HG use 11 PSI Spring (Purple)

I am thinking I am going to have to go with the white spring, but wanted to make sure. So anyone with the HKS 272 cams, what kind of vacuum to you read? Thanks!

Usually around 12inhg lowest to 17ingh highest. I usually sit around 13-14 with mine.

Prolly the white (8psi spring), just from what I've seen.

When I start it cold, I see about 15, and at idle, I see about 11-12. However on decel, I see as much as 24.

Well I bought the silver spring today. I should be ok then with vac conditions now?

Kevin, you say you see -24 sometimes, should I have just left the spring alone or would you have recommended me change to the smaller spring?

I thought it should always be around -24 on deceleration, no matter what the cams. On stock cams I saw a lot of vacuum at idle, and -24 on decel, now with bigger cams I see only -12 at idle and still -24 on decel.

So would putting the smaller spring on there hurt it at all if -24 is the norm? I thought you bought the springs based on what the idle vac was.

I have the 11 psi spring in my Tial, and I don't have any problems with it.

Hmm, wish I would have known this before ordering the $30 spring haha. Oh well, I'll try both ways and see if there is any difference.
