when you buy a new master some aren't quite right so all you need is to get a little longer travel to move it past the check valve, thats all it is

So get the right one... That's what they call a "defective part".

Also, the master is fully adjustable with the rod that attaches to the clutch pedal.

no it wasnt a defective part is was in part because of the clutch we were using. kyle says he does it all the time

when the new slave clyinder was put in it was perfect. before i put the clutch in i had to put the pedal to the floor to put it in to gear. so i thought it needed a new clutch.

longer rod isn't the solution. the master cyl isnt pushing enough fluid thru the slave. have a buddy push the clutch in and you watch the slave. it should move 3/4 of an inch. putting a longer rod in wont really help it can acctually cause you more damage than anything. try replacing the old shitty rubber clkutch line with a solid one or steel braided line. then adjust your clutch peddal. also look at your clutch peddal assembly your clutch peddal after you release it should come flush with the brake peddal. if it doesnt then the bushing's on your peddal assembly are worn too far down also and thats a good 1/8 - 1/4 inch of travel you are loosing.

What are you talking about.

Welding 2 nuts to the clutch fork (as you said to do) is the same as using a longer rod.

You're confusing...
