So, I've pretty much blown up my turbo at this point. I can't hit boost without watching a trail of oil smoke behind me, accompanied by this lower pitched hum.

Imagine a tranny whine, then make it get louder and softer in relation to the turbo spooling up and down. Doesn't sound good, does it?

I'm looking to replace it with a T28. If you've got one or know anyone who's got one for sale, let me know.

I said do a 14b. It work REALLY well. I had it in my 95 awd tsi. I love it. but don't forget to get the 2g kit for the 14b or any 16g.

Yeah, but the less bolts I have to drill out, the better. T28 would require only 8 broken bolts...

16g's are no slouch. They have plenty of potential and are pretty cheap. I went with one for my next iteration of my car so I will see how they are hopefully soon and let ya know ha.

The FP t28 is no slouch either. From FP's site:

"At 21psi, the FP-Big28 pulled our full weight 99 GSX to an 11.82@119.3mph."

Ok yea a professional driver and fully built setup, but still it's a direct bolt on for a 2g, no other modifications or install kit required.

Wish I still had mine around, it was sitting for almost a year and sold it a month or two ago for less than $300.
