If I get tuned on e-85 by then, I'll probably be down. And with this new job I found out I'm getting, it could possibly happen sooner than later.

All the talk of Evo so good and dsm so bad and unreliable is getting old.
When it the fact of age and people that work on them.
Anywho, 4 months, I might make this.
Need to decide on turbo, exh. housing, get a wideband, tune, make exhaust if needed.Change UICP, bov, put on sweet FP intake.
Pull out rear subframe and Por 15 everything possible, install newer/less dented oil pan with flange welded on.
Install bigger breathers on VC.
My list is huge over 45 things, i made it at work the other day, makes me want to cry.
Goal is to break 400hp though. Venue been decided yet?
I thought you already put down over 400?
Where are you putting on the bigger breathers yourself? Thats something I want to do this winter but I don't know if I'll ever get around to it.

If I could agree any more my head would explode from too much concurrence.
I'll be shooting for over 200 this time, though.

You guys are nutty. We all came from DSMs and I'll say it right now, now Evo has not been any more or less reliable than my DSMs were. Cars break when you're asking them to make double (or more) the power of stock; I think the issue arises from the individuals who leave there car sitting for years on end but still talk about how their car is the king of the streets. We're all friends here, lighten up :D

I think I'll be attending this spring's dyno day. Pretty exciting.
I'm seriously excited to see what your car puts down! Heck, I'm glad to see it out and about again!!!
if you let me add the mini and fiero #'s into 1 I'll take that trophy
Dream on cowboy!
I'll probably need an oil change by then and I just don't see myself getting it done. Take me off the list :(
go for 10k?
^no one cares, all you evo pussies will make the same and just talk about reliability of a sweet 5 year old or newer car.
Who's making the same? Every year I dyno and every year I'm making more and more power. That's progress, not pussiness. I can't help it that all these other guys don't know how to mod their cars and make 'only' 300whp or so ;)

Seriously, chill man. First off, I love DSM's. I rag on them a bit for being unreliable and such, but guess what, they're getting old, and that's the only problem I see with them. I still love 1G's and 2G's to no end. I've owned 3 DSM's and loved them all as much as I love my Evo. The point of this thread is not to rag on DSM's. It is to rag on a few of their owners that walk pretty tall for no one having seen them for years on end ;)
Besides, you do not fall into this category, I see your car regularly and know what it can do ;)

ITS A JOKE!!!
Seriously, think about it, do you really think I won't be able to get an oil change done anytime within the next 5 months especially considering I'm in the garage wrenching at least every other weekend?
