View Full Version : Carrier Bearing Question

Car: 1g AWD.

I was putting the driverside axle on, it has that carrier bearing(wtf ever you want to call it) and I noticed that the 1 bolt holds the bracket up against the block, but the 2nd one (nearest the driverside) has a 1/2" gap between the bracket and the block. Is there a spacer I'm missing?

I will have a pic uploaded later. Just wondering if anyone knew off the top of their head.

Thanks

The A/C bracket is supposed to take up that gap. I'm guessing that it's gone. Just use some washers, and you'll be fine

Yeah, it's gone. Thanks so much for the quick answer. I was going to put washers in it, but I wasn't sure if there was some JDM sleeve that I was missing.

I'm back into working on my car finally and after a year, I'm starting to forget where shit gos.(and yes, I label my shit in bags, it's just that sometimes they walk away.)
