2000 mirage throttle cable on a 1g Q?

ok my GF has a 2000 mirage and it has no cuize control, just wounedring if the throttle cable from a mirage could be used to delete cruze on a 1g?

I've got a Mirage non-cruise throttle cable in my car, but it's from an older one (93 I think) I'm not sure if a 2000 Mirage cable would work.
