On friday during my overnight madness, i cut one of the lines to the water pipe going to the FIAV and Throttle body. Now the lines were too short to make it to the FIAV when i put everything together. So i just took a line an connected looped it from one of the inlets on the water pipe to the other on the water pipe.
Would this cause the car not to idle? Or run really rough?
I know part of it is that i wasnt able to load my dsmlink settings.

I don't have my FIAV hooked up, I have the coolant lines looped like you described. Sometimes it gives me a little bit of problem but not usually, I'm going to block it off as soon as I get the blockoff plate.

Must just be the combination of not having DSMLink settings loaded and the fiav.

Well i've only had problems with it idling higher than it should, never caused rough idle or anything, sometimes idle surge but not often.

If your FIAV is working properly, blocking it off should really only affect it when your motor is cold, like when you first start up your car in the morning. That's all it really does is let some extra air by when the motor is still cold. So if you block it off, it wouldn't let any air by when the motors cold, so it would idle a little more rough, when the motors cold.

But if you didn't actually use a block off plate, and you left it in there and just stopped running coolant to it, well then it would be constantly letting air by, so your idle would probably actually be higher.

On some cars not having it hooked up will make the flamidation valve go all goofy though, so watch for that.

I just replaced the flamidation valve along with my awd belt. So it should be all good. :robot:

Its likely my dsmlink settings then. After the battery got unplugged it went back to my old settings which were for 680cc injectors (now have 950cc), No fuel pump auto on, Non Inverted CAS, and a couple other settings.

Hahaha yea that would be a few issues, CAS invert and being way rich...
Time to get a new chip burned for your setup. It's not that expensive is it?

By the way, did you swap plug wires 1-4 with 2-3 when you did the 1g CAS? If you switch the ECU pins for injectors you wouldn't need to do the CAS invert and be able to at least run the car after the ECU resets. The fuel trims would be maxed negative but you could at least drive it.

I did the swap of the wires (knew that from when i did my 6bolt in the flamer (white gst that burned) )
Im going to wait until V3 comes out before i do the reburn.
