My tranny is flaring, slipping, and jostling the entire contents of my skull every time it shifts from 2nd to 3rd.
A fluid flush at this point will not do anything. It is shot. Its to the point where I need some major work done.
I'm wondering if someone could recommend a place that I could call asking about a rebuild to see if its cheaper than a used tranny.
Thx.

Aamco trans.
Have you done business with them and had good luck? My dad dealt with them back in the 90's and it was a nightmare.

I probably deal with an Aamco somewhere in the U.S about 3 times a week. For fleet cars they are our #1 choice behind dealers for trans work (well its a toss-up, depends upon the area).
I would maybe ask around Goodyear Pete, see if you guys have any accounts with anyone locally?

Thanks. I've already talked to the shop manager and gotten some input, but I also wanted to ask you guys too. :)

I say rebuild it. You see to like the car, it still looks to be in nice shape, and you've put a lot of work into it.
