View Full Version : tranny bolt issue need some help

i put in a fidanza light weight fly wheel and an act2900, and because i put that strong of a clutch in i keep breaking the front tranny bolt right above the slave cylinder, should i just put in a longer slave rod? i have already drilled it all the way out and put a bolt and nut on it, but just last night it broke again lol, so if eny one has eny ideas let me know,
oh and this is a fwd laser

What grade bolt are you using, and what are you torquing the bolt to? Also is your clutch pedal adjusted right?

p.s. you are lucky the bell housing is not broken/cracked by now.

I have an extended rod if you go that route.

I agree I broke the front ear off of the Engine last year. I'd just get some new stockers and torque to factory spec.

I have like 20 of the FWD longer rods, $15 and one is yours, they are a "great" band aid for clutch issues in DSM's.

make sure all your 4 tranni bolts to engine is torqued to spec. I have seen many with missing back bolt (near starter).

yep the front and the back bolts both broke on friday i fixed the front one, i just drilled it out a blttle bigger and stuck a grade 8 bolt and nut on it,
