I like the quote "It's still a rod-and-piston engine; it just has a lot more electronics on it."
What you guys think?
hope this in the correct section.

Of course, no details. I've got an idea what some of them are though. Maybe we should go for the highest mileage DSM here and see who gets it.

The fact that he's refused to let anyone get a look under the hood makes me think BS.
I've seen some of these DSM guys claim over 40 MPG. I figure a tiny engine, high octane and a big turbo that lags like a son of a bitch is the key to great mileage and power.

Well from what the guy said on the news. The reason he did not lift the hood was because there is to many electronic devices that have not been patented on the car. So i guess he could just be being cautious about it and may want to make a good chunk of change out of it. My thoughts about that is because i would probably do the same thing if i had a product that was revolutionary and was not in a patented form yet.

if it were true and has made it to the news. then all the major companies would snatch that up in a heartbeat. they would pay him to patent it and have that product. I hate to be skeptical but i am, especially out of a pony

If he had a great secret and wanted to patent the idea he would do all that BEFORE talking to the media and bragging about it.

Maybe he already applied for the patent, just waiting for it to go through. I would say it is possible, we have come a long ways in the last century. Their are alot of things now days that are possible that no one ever though could be possible 20 years ago. If I were him I would watch my back, their is probably a big red bullseye on it now!
It says he's waiting for patents, and he also said 500mpg might be possible!!!
