I'd wait on this one to see if a manual tranny comes out. Didn't Mitsu have problems with the X MR DSG? Shit, has Mitsu ever learned how to make a GOOD tranny?

This tranny is not made by Mitsu. There were a lot of bugs in the programing, but supposedly those has been worked out.

Define good. My Evo transmission is holding up great, and I've put over 30,000 hard driven miles on it in its 68,000 miles of life. Do you think Mitsubishi engineers care what happens when you throw more power than stock at the damned things? No. When you learn how to drive and maintain a vehicle properly then maybe you won't think they suck.

I found it interesting the motor is identical to the Evo's, same cams, rods, pistons, everything. Just a smaller turbo, and maybe different tuning in the ECU.

Unless there is something we don't know about, it will be easy enough to make Evo power with them. The redline has been dropped 500 rpm I think; I wonder if there is any reason for that other than a small turbo that probably can't flow enough air up there anyway.
