So my goal was to build a fast reliable car with the highest quality parts for the lowest money. Budget racing at its finest. Sure you can always get better quality parts but my goal was to get the best for the money from reputable reliable name brand companies.
So I started with an untouched virgin canvas that is a 1996 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. I bought the car for $4800 and it was 100% stock minus some really ugly wheels (I mean hideous). It had 89,000 miles and was in fairly good mechanical condition and it pretty good cosmetic condition, minus some light scratches and dings which can be easily fixed. No accidents.
Front bumper had a crack on the bottom due to bottoming it out over the years on driveways and parking barriers and the rear bumper had scratches from I don't know what. The bottom part of the spare tire well that hangs down under the car had a dent in it from some previous owner backing into a high curb or something. So I got the dent pulled out. The interior was clean minus the carpet which looked like it was puked on and some of the plastic trim on the door was cracked. So yeah most of it was minor shit from wear and tear over the last 11-12 years.
So I replaced both front and rear bumpers with new OEM ones. I still have to fix the door/fender dings here and there but they are all minor. As for the interior, I replaced all the broken or worn plastic trim with new OEM ones. Unfortunately, Mitsu no longer makes the carpet so I had to go to an aftermarket one. So I decided to get a black carpet instead of the stock grey. It looks and fits great. I gutted the inside of the car. Cleaned it all out and put it back together with the new carpet. Minus the 2 front seats which are worn, the interior looks new. Back seats looked untouched.
I also did and doing standard maintence and tune up shit. All the coolant lines and pipes replaces, and new timing belt and water pump. New seals and gaskets.
Now the masterpeice begins to take form. Here is what is currently on the car:
FP3065 Turbo w/ Lines,
