I checked the center stud hole and couldnt poke anything through it, but I did the center stud because I have heard a few people say to rtv it even though I doubt it matters. The only thing it is going to do I think is make it harder to get the stud out, not that I plan on doing that any time soon. To bad no one really knows the story about this because I am intrested in hearing it.

The lower middle stud passes right through an oil return galley. That is why you need to RTV the end of the stud before you install it.
