Hey guys, I have decided I want to tint my cars windows but i know absolutley nothing about tinting. Is it something I should just have a company install for me or should i buy the tint and do it myself? Whats a general price range? Are there any places you would recommend me go to for help on this? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys, 4g63 4 life!

I would get your car professionally done. Expect to pay around $125ish.

I'd recommend Tint Masters in Burnsville, they do excellent work but cost a little more than others.

They use 3M tint and remove the front windows if the door has a frame like on a 1g, not sure about 2gs. They have two different grades of tint and spend about 3-4 hours per car unlike other shops that do tint jobs in hour time blocks.

Bingo. We just had a MitsuStyle group-buy a few months ago at the SST in Spring Lake Park (the one mentioned above) and they do great work. Tell Tein you're from MitsuStyle and you'll get a good deal.

This is the second time I've heard of such a price, where pray tell can one get such a cheap tint job, and is there any quality to it?

I recommend Street Scenes, they have tinted 2 of my cars, and the wife's car as well. Great work and never had to use the lifetime guarantee.

I gotta call BS on that one. I worked SST really hard for our group pricing and personally feel the $150/car I got was one of the best local tint deals ever (much better than any MNSC pricing from SST). Their "regular" price is $220. I'm sure you can get $125 from some dude in his parents' garage, but no reputable shop that uses quality film and offers a lifetime warranty.

ya got me, I guessed. I just wanted to let this guy know he'll be payin for more than the $20 he'd pay to do it himself to get it done.
