This is all on a 97 gst spyder AWD 6 bolt. I just put my motor back in after having it out to do a head gasket, reseal the oil pan, and clean everything up. When I crank it over it sputters but does not stay running on its own. It smokes alot out the back. The timing is set so the dowels on the cams are up, the lines on the cam gears lign up, and the mark on the harmonic balancer is directly in line with the T on the timing cover. I have tryed a new coil, plug wires, new cas and they are all fine. The compression is 150-155 across the board. I have inverted the cas as well. The markings on the cas lign up to TDC. I am wondering a few things. If the actual timing belt is off by one tooth somewhere will the compression still be 150+ ?? What could be my problem? It has air, fuel, and spark.

Anyone have any idea here? This is what I have tripple checked

-coil
-plugs
-timing
-fuel
-dsmlink tune
-compression is 155
-ect.ect.ect.ect

It is a built 6 bolt with gm maf, and dsmlink. The gm is set all zero'd out. I am clueless here and am thinking either a transistor box or maybe the ECU is messed up some how. It seems like it is firing with the exhaust valves open.
