I think you have your exhaust manifolds switched around. The one that is tapped for the EGT gauge is a 2g, and the other one is a 1g.

what kind or damage to the 1g head that had the blown head gasket??? what bad would it cause??

Like I said, the damage was caused by the blown headgasket. Come look at it closely to see, but there is a small gouge where the gasket pulled away from the compression chamber.

I think JET's was worse when his blew, I'm sure this is fixable.
