Hey, so i just got matts 91 awd tsi, 5 speed, and got the tranny fixed on it. tried driving the car home, but it would get to 2k, start sputtering, and wouldnt get past 3. I could even downshift and the car would go to 4k, but there would be no throttle response at all. Occasionally i will start the car up and it will rev all the way(still sputtering a little), but it doesnt last long. Thought it was the TPS, but i took that off today and it tested fine. Could it possibly be the fuel pump? Im not hearing it whine when i turn the key. Mabey something was not hooked back up when the tranny was fixed? Any opinions would help greatly.

First question I have is if you are getting any kind of check engine light?

I think if I were you, right now I'd just go over the car completely after hearing about this, and the issues you stated in the other thread. I wouldn't trust that anything is right on that car.

I'd start with the timing belt, make sure all the marks line up. Then I'd check ignition timing. Then a boost leak test. Then put in new plugs, wires, air filter, and change the oil. Then just go over the entire engine bay and just try to see if anything doesn't look right.

Well if the check engine light is on, that's a good place to start.
