Reverse lights dont work!!

So rendomly like two weeks ago I realized that my reverse lights dont work anymore. My girl friend just bought a 96 eclipse and her's doesnt work either. Is this common on these cars? What should be the first step on figuring out what the hell is wrong?

The bulbs or ok and the wire's are ok to the housing. What makes the lights go on when you put it into reverse?

There's a swich on the transmission that may have come unplugged, or a wire is broken somewhere.

where at on the tranny ill have to take a look at it.

I'm not sure where it is on a 2g, but on a 1g it's right on the top, kind of in the middle.

I see the plug in that you guy's are talking about but what would I do to replace it??

Unplug it, unscrew it, buy a new one, screw it in, and plug it in.

Alot of people don't notice their reverse bulbs are out. You sure it's not just a bad bulb? If not then try the switch.. Other than that your going to have to start tracing wires.

How many dsmers does it take to screw in a lightbulb? lol
