Where was this bad ground it turned out to be? My fan isnt coming on right now. Checked everything, replaced thermostat, even replaced the harness (part that plugs into fan). Fan wont even come on when I use jumper wires at the fuse to start up the fan or when I turn on the A/C fan.
How do you connect the fan to a switch to manually turn it on? I'll need to bypass the stock harness if it's part of the connection to the switch.

Are you using jumper wires just at the fuse, or jumping it straight to the fan? If you're jumping it straight to the fan, then the fan motor is bad.

i take back my ass comment.

so your jumping the fuse, what about the relay switch?

yeah, I meant Im jumping it from the relay switch itself. I just connected the two left connectors and that should've started the fan, but it didnt so I went by what the repair book says and I connected the battery directly to the fan to test if the fan was working and it worked, but there was a lil spark that ignited at the fan plug. Hopefully the fan didnt go bad because of that.

sweet, the fan works this way. Thanks a lot for the clarification Viridionplague. You just saved me a huge headache.
Now, basically I can just hook up the toggle switch to the jumper wire and that should let me turn on the fan at my will, correct?

well its a little diffrent for a lot of the cars, there 2 diffrent styles for the 1g's ive noticed

one is the relay has male connectors, and one where the relay has female connectors.

either way they should be corner to corner
