I've got a SX FPR, I want to say model number 14502, but I can't remember off the top of my head.
Anyways, it seems to be doing its job, but the first time I start the car in a day, it cranks over for about 3 seconds before firing up. After that it fires up normally.
I guess it could also possibly be a bad o-ring on my fuel pump?
It sounds like something is dropping the pressure in the line while it sits and the pump has to build the pressure back up. It should build up just putting the key in the on position and not cranking also.

OK, I will test that. I will turn it to the on position and let it sit for a few minutes while I have my hood open.
I will keep an eye on my fuel pressure gauge and see if it rises.

Just to add to this, what is the sign of a bad FPR?
I thought I have been having problems with my relay and now after this post I am wondering if it is the FPR that is giving me problems.

What kind of FPR do you have?
I know the SX ones are suppose to hold half the pressure for 10+ minutes after the car is shut off, which last I checked mine does. That is why I think it must be the o-ring on my 255.

A sign of a bad FPR would be, the vacumm attachment would smell like fuel. (At least on OE)and excessive cranking such as in the morning or after it sits for awhile.

Bad sign for me, as far as the cranking goes. :(
The SX ones are rebuildable though, yay for me!

What kind of FPR do you have?
I have an Aeromotive FPR and I have gotten mixed reviews on that...
What happens to me though is that the fuel system would kick out, like shut down completely. Then when I go to start it, it would run for a sec then die on me. I think it is relay/computer/something else electical... I have the hp255 and can hear the fuel pump running. plus pressure looks good from what I can tell
Thought I would ask though

Yea I'm sure someone here can help you out a lot better than I can. I don't have a ton of hands on experiance. I just read as much as I can about stuff. This is the first summer I actually am going to be doing ALL the work on my car my self.
