Spring Dyno Day Mods! Who's doing what!?!?

So it really is pushing... pretty bad now... I replaced that hose, did a 3rd gear pull onto the freeway with the overflow going into another bottle so I could confirm if that's where it's coming from... well it prettymuch filled a 20 oz bottle, and blew up another heater hose. So I replaced that hose and I'll limp it through the week till I can replace the head gasket.

Yesterday was a big day in my garage! Hughes came over at 9:30am and helped me put in my new gauge pod setup into the evo. 10:15 MattD pulled his car in and we started doing a timing belt job. I finished the gauge thing and jacked up the car quick and clearanced my rear crossmember (I think it was rubbing on exhaust at idle). A while later, pull in hughes car, then we got started on short shifter install. I abandoned him at 1:25pm when DoughtCom shows up with a fuel pump that he had just picked up at MAP, and tells us he has to be at DB for a tune at 2pm (20+ minutes from my house). Despite spilling gas everywhere (3/4 full FTL!) I cranked it out and we were putting his rear seat back in at 1:40!

Back to the short shifter, we had to take the thing in and out about 10 times to get it to fit right, but after several tries and several hours, we got everythign clearanced and got it in and rocking! In the meantime we had moved Hughes' car out to my neighbor's place and pulled Kevin's 1G into the garage for a headgasket job. Off came the head while we finished up hughes' short shifter, then up pulled Zac (hellomynameis), fuel pump in hand, and again I dove into a fuel pump install :)

So mattd's car got an extra bit of cleaning, then installed a MBC after timing belt job was buttoned up. About this time I was getting tired, but decided it'd be good to get some work on the blue car in! I got the fender all fixed and am about 99% ready for next weekend. The car still needs some new coolant sensors in the tstat housing.

Why stop there?!?! Craig and his STi buddies showed up, and after we gave them endless flack for having cars that sound like they're misfiring all the time, we began hacking them up too!

Then a fuel pump install in the other one. This one took about 2 hours, when I did 2 evos in about 35 minutes total :) Tee Hee!
