That thing was clean at the Dyno Day, a damn sweet WRX that is for sure! I loved the interior.

I'm glad the tint went to Janelle even though I REALLY wanted it. That car has zero tint and will look even better once it is tinted!

I told Matt before I pulled my own name that if I got to do the 'Name Dat Powa' I was gonna say 210! But at the last second I said 217 thinking it was a little low.

Oh well, I guess the guy who said 218 after me would of said 211 and most likely won it. Next year if you all do the same thing, everyone should write the power they think on a piece of paper and hand it in, just my two cents.

Stock catback (2.25" and resonator) vs. SPT catback (3" w/ open muffler):

Stock TMIC vs. STI TMIC (aluminum endtanks and about double the volume):

We also installed a [modified] air splitter and rubber seal from a STI so the WRX scoop is able to effectively feel air to the larger STI TMIC. We replaced the couplers with 4-ply Vibrant silicone couplers from MAP.

The exhaust is a few pounds lighter than stock, but definitely a lot better looking and more free flowing.

Janelle is very happy with the gains she picked up last night and she is happy with how the new exhaust sounds. Once the catless downpipe is on, the boost is raised, and she gets it dyno-tuned it should be a real STI killer!

It was pretty sweet not really having to do anything, we need to have the girls work on cars more often! In sum I think I helped them break one bolt free (from the cat to the catback--showed them the two-wrench torque-arm trick and they were good after that!), hughes got the last of the 5 exhaust hangers off, and then just double-checked the bolts on everything once it was tight. We also helped a bit with the STI TMIC install, but I think that amounted to helping trim the silicone couplers so that everything fit right. All of the tough, nuckle-bleeding stuff was done by the girls!

Man I hate wrx's. Sounds good though! :) Downpipe/testpipe next time?

I'll be getting a downpipe late summer hopefully!! Then a tune, and then I will finally be able to at least keep pace with all you Evos!

Thanks Anna and Scheides for your help! I am so terribly sore today though... I don't normally use those muscles in my shoulders!

I can absolutely tell I gained power from last night and as Chuckee (I probably butchered your name here) mentioned, you can actually hear my car now =) which is nice.

BTW, I'm looking forward to my leftover pizza for lunch!!

Gracias! Even though I'm thrilled I won the tint, and I can see your point with the paper thing... that kind of kills the point of the "Price is Right" theme you know? What about $1 Bob???

=) My tint appointment is set for May 29... so I should be better looking soon!
