vista problems

So whenever I open up ie on my laptop that has vista home premium the start bar and all the short-cuts on my desktop completely disappear. Does anyone have some ideas on this or is it just pos vista acting up?

meah.... i'm not really a mozilla guy.. I ended up installing apple's safari for windows and like it so far.... now to get rid of that virus that mcaffee isnt picking up... I found it in the temp. files but it wont let me delete it... anyone have ideas????

mcaffee is a virus. jk... but seriously.

Start up in safe mode and just delete everything in your temp file.

i know... so after some research into the virus (ybacd.dll) I found out the only REAL way to get rid of it is to dump the computer completely... so I just got done re-booting it and putting everything from my external to the computer back..... I dont think I will be dealing with cracks for QUITE awhile
