what is the max that a crank can be ground down and still be useable? I have a 64 crank thats chewed up on on spot, would like to reuse it if or sell it, I just hate to see it go to waste.

I had a crank turned went to hell 50 miles after i put it in needed to replace the block and oil pimp because of the thrust bearing failure.

If you get it done defiantly have it nitride treated after.

I had mine turned down 10 under and got it nitride coated and has been working for me since, only 1500 miles but still holding up(knock on wood)
