Its funny how quick updates for Tephra comes out, but Dsmlink V3 has yet to be released after like 4 years.

I don't really know much about Tephra. Is it actually a business, or just open source free software? Does their tech support even remotely compare to the support you get with DSMLink? Be patient for V3, there's only so many hours in a day, and undoubtedly the guys over at ECMTuning spend most of those hours running their business, and giving top notch tech/customer support. The will get V3 finihed up in their spare time, when they can.

Tephra is a dude on EvoM that is amazing with the stock ECU so he has been able to write all these hacks and patches for it. As for tech-support, he is constantly online and answers questions in his threads very quickly, along with the other very ECU-knowledgable members. Basically, the Evo ECU has been turned into a factory standalone.

Sounds fun. I'm not an ECU guru, have you ever used DSMLink? Just curious how they are in comparison. They sound somewhat familiar. Basically the ability to control a multitude of different things in the stock ECU, while not actually having to go to a full standalone system. I just love DSMLinks user interface, it makes everything so simple. Maybe you could show me a little bit of it next time I'm around. Just kind of curious of the similarities and differences.
Free is definitely a price most people can afford too :)

I've used DSMLink before. Next time you're around I'll show you what the Evo ECU is all about.

Ya, just to clarify: EcuFlash from OpenEcu.org is what is used for basic tuning of the stock ecu. Tephra is a guy that makes hacks for the stock roms to do all this fancy stuff. And fancy it is!

Werd. I was referring to all of the Evo's ECU's capabilities and not just the Tephra mods, I should have made that clear.
